Ignite Initiative

A Louisiana Department of Education initiative.

Ignite Initiative features:
24 hours of professional development in computational thinking, block programming, and cybersafety for K-5 elementary teachers at no cost.

Multiple ways to participate in trainings:
2 fully in-person options
3 fully virtual options
1 hybrid option

Stipend funding will not be provided through CASN's Ignite Initiative. District funding my be available.

Cohort 1 - Rescheduled!

Training Dates for January 18 & February 1 are postponed and will be rescheduled.

Training Dates:
February 11, 13, 18, & 20, 2025
(3 hour virtual sessions)
February 15, 2025
(6 hour virtual session)
Cohorts 3, 4, & 5

Training Dates:
March 17 - 20, 2025
March 24 - 27, 2025
(3 hour virtual sessions, includes make up sessions)
Cohort 6

Training Dates:
June 2 - 4, 2025 (in person)
