Are you a teacher or student in grades 5-8 looking for an exciting STEM opportunity? We're thrilled to extend an invitation to your school to register teams of 3-4 students for the "You Be the Chemist" challenge, hosted this year at LSU! This competition is a chance to showcase scientific prowess and also an opportunity to delve into the world of chemistry through engaging activities. The Challenge, taking place at LSU, involves teams participating in the Regional Challenge, answering timed multiple-choice and short-answer questions. As an added bonus, there will be a tour of chemistry labs and facilities for students interested in exploring more after the competition.

Top-performing teams have the chance to advance to the National Challenge in Houston, TX. Here, they'll present their innovative solutions and pitch their start-up company to judges, gaining valuable insights into the business side of STEM. Beyond the thrill of competition, the "You Be The Chemist" Challenge serves as an invaluable asynchronous education tool for classrooms or a stimulating after-school activity. Upon registration, interactive study materials become accessible, enriching the learning experience for students. Most importantly, participants stand a chance to compete for scholarships, fostering a love for science and discovery.
