Cain Center for STEM Literacy and Capital Area STEM, invites you to a FREE Google CS First Workshop. This event is tailored for elementary and middle school teachers eager to integrate computer science into their educational toolkit. Embrace the chance to enhance your teaching toolkit and engage your students in the world of computer science. Join us, and let’s inspire a new wave of thinkers and innovators! 

 

Scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, at the Louisiana Technology Park in Baton Rouge, this professional development workshop offers two convenient timeslots: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDT. Participants will gain valuable insights into CS education, explore a free curriculum, and receive resources to implement computer science in various educational settings. Attendees will also develop an action plan, learn effective teaching strategies, and connect with a community dedicated to fostering CS literacy. The support doesn’t end with the workshop- ongoing assistance ensures that you can confidently guide your students in their CS journey.
