The Ignite Project

The Capital Area STEM Network Center is hosting The Ignite Project, a free 40-hour workshop with stipends provided, focusing on fundamentals of computational thinking and computer science for Louisiana's K–5 teachers in public and public charter schools. The workshop emphasizes interactive, project-based learning, incorporating popular educational resources such as, Scratch, ScratchJr, Micro:bit, and robots.

Are you a 6-12 teacher? The Energize program is for you!

"The Energize Project is a complementary in-depth training for 6-12th grade Louisiana public and charter school teachers to prepare to take the Computer Science Praxis exam (5652). The Energize Project includes 40 hours of training at no cost to teachers, the Praxis exam, and a $350 stipend upon completion of the workshop."
