Recent studies have identified that engaging middle school students in STEM activities increases their chances of choosing STEM-related disciplines when entering college; however, very few university-sponsored opportunities are available for these students.
On Monday, March 13, 2023, LSU College of Engineering will host its 4th Annual ENGage event for middle school students (grades 6–8). A hallmark of this outreach day is that all of the activities are focused on:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Clean Energy
- Nanomaterials
- Electrochemistry
- 3D Modeling
- Robotics
